Abstract: Concerning the importance of composite material for multi-purpose applications, an attempt has been taken to synthesize composites using natural fiber with unsaturated polyester resin. The actual preparation of the first polyester resin is accredited to both Berzelius in 1847 and Gay-Lussac and Pelouze in 1883. Polyester resin is a thermosetting unsaturated polymer resin, which is formed from the reaction between organic acids and polyhydric alcohols. The fabricated composites became partly biodegradable because of jute (natural fiber) and mechanical properties of both types of composites showed promising results for commercial applications. Electrical components meeting the most stringent demands on their tracking resistance can be easily produced.
